orange zest
and the juice of 1/2 an orange
yellow food coloring.
Bake for 15-20 min, or until fork comes out clean. cool and frost, with the Lucious Lemon frosting, and top with a Savannah Smiles Lemon Girl Scout cookie.
1 teaspoon
fresh orange
rind
, grated
3 tablespoons butter
3 cups
confectioners' sugar ,
sifted
2 tablespoons lemon juice and a a squeeze of an orange
1 tablespoon water
1 dash
salt
yellow food coloring
I added the orange to give it a little something different, since I didnt have a fresh lemon for the rind, and it turned out fantastic.

Lemon Bars

I made these for Jason, since he loves anything lemony. I didn't think it had enough lemon flavor to them.

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
6 eggs
1 3/4 cups white sugar
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. 2. Combine the flour, 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar, and butter. Pat dough into prepared pan. 3. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until slightly golden. While the crust is baking, whisk together eggs, white sugar, flour, and lemon juice until frothy. Pour this lemon mixture over the hot crust. 4. Return to the preheated oven for an additional 20 to 25 minutes, or until light golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. Dust the top with confectioners' sugar, cut into 2 squares.
